Magnolias (?)

Magnolia is one of those flowers that sounds as pretty as it looks. (Nasturtium, Calendula and Coreopsis, while all gorgeous, sound like names of really bad diseases – the kind you don’t ever want to get!). Magnolia blossoms also smell heavenly, and I’ve always admired how the enormous magnolia trees “protect” their most delicate white flowers.

Well before white magnolia trees ever blossom, their much smaller cousins produce the prettiest pink blossoms. I called them “much smaller cousins” because their blooms look just like magnolias, only pink, so I assume they’re pink magnolias, but I don't really know for sure. Here are some pictures of these blossoming beauties!
