I made my very own Chicken Tikka Masala for the first time! It was easy, and I love the flavors.
3 lb skinless boneless chicken breast
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tsp lemon juiceginger and garlic paste (or fresh ginger and garlic, coarsely chopped, 1 tsp each)
1/4 cup olive oil
4 tsp chicken tikka masala powder4 tbs sour cream
1. Combine all ingredients except chicken and mix well.
2. Make 4 deep slits in each chicken piece. Marinate the chicken in the mixture for 1.5 hours. Take chicken out of the marinade (keep the marinade). Arrange chicken on a baking tray and roast uncovered for 30-35 minutes at 350F.
3. Combine the roasted chicken with the leftover marinade in a frying pan and sour cream and stir fry for 4 minutes.
Serving suggestion: fresh salad greens, onions, tomatoes and lemon juice(I served mine with asparagus)
